Default Engine Rebuild

Hi all, well my 67 mustang project is coming along at a fairly decent rate, seeing as how its always humid in Maryland, except in the winter. Well anyway, seeing as how I am new to this whole restoration scene, I was wondering where I could send my V6 200ci engine, and C-4 automatic transmission to, in order for the both of them to be restored back to original shiny condition, or exchanged for the same type of engine. Note: Both the engine and transmission work fine, its just that they're 38 years old, with who knows how many miles on them. And the carburetor is not original, some guy must have strapped it on their years ago... Thanks for the help....

Hi,

I don't know how orginial your car is but if you intend to preserve it as much as possible to factory original, I would suggest that you have someone rebuild your engine so that all numbers will match you car. My 2cents.

Yeah, a local tranny shop should be able to clean up and rebuild the trans for you and a local machine shop should be able to clean and rebuild the motor, easy as that. And you can get rebuilt carb's for your car, you just have to find out the original. I'm not sure what the exact original would be on your car, but I believe it should be the Autolite 1100 1-barrel(that's what is the original on my 67 200ci).
