Default Timing cover bolts!!

Can someone please tell me how many of each size bolt there is on the timing cover for a 66 289? I know there is at least one small bolt and one long bolt, but how many of each? I just put mine on, and then realized that the dumb f*cks who sent me my bolts, sent me the incorrect set or something, because things didn't match up, so I just wanna make sure I'm right. So please just tell me how many long bolts, and how many short ones on the timing cover alone. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Tell you what man, I have a 289 in my garage that is disassembled. If no one answers you by this evening I will go put the timing cover on and see what bolts go with it. I am at work right now or else I would walk out to the garage and check it out now..

I had similar problems with my 302. Whoever put the timing cover and waterpump on must have been smokin' something.

So I got a ARP SB Ford waterpump/timing cover bolt set. This solved all the problems.

Thanks Cracker, I'd appreciate it, cause I don't wanna go further on the motor till I find out if I'm right or wrong. The way I figured it was one long bolt and the rest were short, it seems to be the only logical placement.

I'm so sorry man I forgot to check it, and I was out in the garage for 3 hours yesterday evening too and did not think about it.

Which timing cover bolts are you talking about, just the ones that only mount the timing cover, or the ones that go all the way thru the water pump and timing cover, into the block?

I have 6 bolts on the timing cover, all are 1 inch except the one closest to the timing pointer, it is 2 inches.
