Default Radio wiring, 1966 mustang

Someone actually told me I could wire my stock AM radio to the bolt behind the ignition switch using an in-line fuse. Is this true? Can I wire both the radio and radio dial to that same bolt? Is there a limit in terms of how many accessories I can wire to the bolt behind the ignition switch?

Thumbs up Answered the question myself

In case anyone is wondering, you can wire multiple accessories/circuits to that bolt behind the ignition switch. Using two separate wires with inline fuses and eye loops, I wired both the radio and the dial light to the bolt with no problems. I custom made the cables myself using wiring from a harness harvested from another mustang.

What's that saying about even a blind pig finds a a turnip now and then?

That bolt is the main power feed to the ignition switch. The only restriction on how much you can hook to it is the amperage capacity of the wire from the starter relay(I think that is where it comes from). You don't want to add so much draw that it causes switch problems.

Are your turn signals working like they should now, Scarecrow?

Uh. I wasn't going to bring it up, but the turn signals are working fine now. I accidentally leaned up against the hazard light switch under the pass. side dash while I was working on the wiring under the driver's side dash. Took me a while to realize that this was the cause of the problem. Needless to say this is embarrassing. I didn't realize that the emergency light switch works by altering the flashing pattern for turn signal lights when the turn signal swtich is engaged.
