Default Original Mustang disc brakes?

Alright, you can buy the rotors and all that happy-crappy from Mustangs Plus and Mustangs Unlimited for a disc brake car. So why can't you change your drum brake car to a disc car if they sell these parts? Seems more practical than the Granada swap since it is in fact Mustang parts. Just curious...

It's a matter cost and availability. The parts for thegrenada swap are a dime a dozen at the boneyards, the parts for the kelsey hayes setup are almost impossible to find used and cost about 5 or 6 times as much as the grenada setup if you were to buy them new. Then there's the replacement aspect. If you're running the 4 piston kelsey hayes and you walk into autozone and ask for pads you'll be lucky to find them, go in and ask for a set of pads for a 76 grenada with the 302 and they'll hook you right up.If the swap works and saves you some money and headache and you're not trying to do a concourse resto, then go with it. Put the $400 you saved into the engine or rearend or whatever you want.
