Default no brake signal L rear.

Left turn signal is OK. Turn signal and brake light OK on the passenger side. I have narrowed the problem down to somewhere in the steering column after the brake switch and before the rear wiring harness. Is this problem likely a short in the steering column wiring or in the turn signal switches?

I'd put my money on the contact plates in the turn signal switch. Replace the t/s switch and see what happens. Unless you've changed the steering column with a flaming river column or something, it's not common to have a problem...could be wrong though.
