Default Anyone with 1967 power steering??!!

I would like to know where to mount the power steering hose bracket. I'm guessing it's somewhere on the shock tower near the washer fluid reservoir. Thanks, Grayle

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. Let me check with a friend that has a 67 and see what he says. Get back to you soon.

---------------

Well here is what I found out....

"the bracket mounts, with a thru bolt, on the left shock tower, rear most support, of the shock tower. The bracket is mounted with the thru bolt from the back to the front of that support. It is mounted at the lower extreme of the support, kind of hard to see. The bracket then holds the two hoses from the pump rearward and down to the ram. The whole idea is to keep the hoses as far away from the exhaust manifold as possible"

That about covers that.... Let me know if you need anything else.

Ron, thanks for the info. I don't want the hoses touching the headers. My car didn't have a bracket when I bought it, thats why I don't know where it goes. Just reading your reply doesn't make sense to me, I'll have to go out to the car and take a look. Basically I think you are saying in mounts below the master cylinder on the rear side of the shock tower, right? Thanks, Grayle

Yep, I think that is what I was saying. I got the information from a friend that owns a 67. If you have any other questions, just send them on over and I will check with my friend as he is the expert on the 67.

Hi Grayle,

I too have the exact question you had, my 67 coupe did not have a PS Hose Mounting bracket, any chance you could post a pic of your bracket installed? (I assume you have it in place now)
or you cant post a photo could you maybe help me out with a written description on where this bracket goes?

My car also has headers so it has the power steering lowering bracket as well, so I'm hoping that will not cause problems with the hose
bracket. Or maybe that is why my car didnt have the PS hose bracket?
Any help/info is much appreciated!

Thanks,
cooper
