Default Wheel Bolt Circle Question

Hey, Im looking at getting some new rims for my 66 mustang and I was just wondering how I determen the "Bolt Circle" to get the right size rim for my car.

For example
Size: 14'' x 6''
Bolt Circle: 5 x 4-1/2''
Rear Spacing: 3-1/2''

I understand the size, but I think the Bolt Circle is 5 as in 5 lugnuts and the 4-1/2 is what I have no idea about, I also dont know what the Rear Spacing is for either... So any help for a newbi would be great...

tks Brian

Hello. The 5 is indeed 5 lugnuts. The 4 1/2 is the diameter of the circle that passes through the center of all 5 holes. The rear spacing,or back spacing, is how far the wheel sticks in.If you lay the wheel down on the floor with the back side up,it would be the distance from the back lip of the wheel to the surface that has the holes. This matters because there is stuff that the wheel or tire can hit if it sticks into the wheel well to far.Hope that helps.
