Talking Shelby mod on a 69 vert

Hi I getting excited about my stang repairs I am replacing the drivers frame rail and shock towers and finally for the old frame rail off yesterday and got the new one dry fitted ...take a lookm it was ALOT of work to get to this point!

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/d.linebar/stang

I can almost hear the engine running now!!!! Anyway does anyone if the Shelby shock tower mod of drilling out the A arm mounts one inch lower would apply to a 69 convertible. I want to do this as part of my rebuild but I want to make sure it is what Shelby did to the 69 year, not just 65-68.

THANKS!

It can be done to any mustang 64 1/2 to 70 .Shelby put this into all cars in 65 however he did not do it to any mustang beyond number 252 in 1966. This is according to my Tony D. Branda shelby and mustang parts catalog which runs an article from back in 1980 written by a Jeff Burgy. The article is in the back on page 182-183 there is info and templates, one for 64-66 and another for 67-70 which is an inch longer. In the back there is also a welth of info for anyone wanting to clone a shelby. If you used this info, only a concourse judge could be able to see the difference.
