Question 1/8 Mile Time For A 66'
Hmmm... theres a track in Benson (NC) thats open on Thursdays nites ... 1/8 mile track 5 bucks race all nite .. nothin special ... haha I've been wantin to head down there just to run wiht my friends for fun ... what would and estimated 1/8 mile time be for a 66' coupe with a Holly carb and a aftermarket muffler (see other thread to identify for me) ... not lookin to win just to have fun ...

In reality, I would guess around 8 to 10 seconds, with your set-up.

Hey Solid Steel Stang you must be pretty close to me, I am in Four Oaks. Tell me a little about your car maybe I've seen you cruising around town?

66 Coupe - CandyApple Red, 2 barrel 289, C4.
66 Coupe - (father-daughter project). Tangier Orange, 302 with AOD, 17 inch Bullit wheels.
69 F-100 - 351c. Emerald Green Metallic paint. Still "in progress".
68 Barracuda - Rusted out project. 318 in the frame rails for now. Maybe a 360 in the future.
00 Mustang - (son's car) V6, 18 inch Saleen wheels.

Cool, I work in Cary. I have two 66 Mustangs in progress in my garage. Thursday night seems to be the big night at the Benson track, did you go out there?

Yea I work at the Cary YMCA if you know where that is ... umm havent gone to the track yet ... been wantin to but tryin to tune my carb ...
