Default Overhead console

I foolishly took my 67 coupe to have a new headliner installed without taking the overhead console. They removed the glass to do it. Now I want to put the overhead console back up which is attached with 4 screws. I can't remember if there was some kind of bracket they screw into. (or if I removed it) I am afraid to make holes in the headliner without being sure I will find the holes in the sheet metal that the screws go into. Can anyone help me and assure me that I will find the holes if I punch through the headliner. Thanks

from what I understand, there is a front bracket for the console. Supposedly you install the headliner over the bracker withscrews installed and then make small cuts into it to install the console.
