Default 1965 Stearing

I have a '65 coupe and need to replace/upgrade the steering (manual). I'd be interested to hear any feedback on the flaming river steering boxes I have seen advertised vs the stock rebuilt units. Are the rack and pinion conversions worth it? Are there any donor conversions, like the Granada brakes, for the steering system?

Thanks for the help.

I put a Total Control rack in my 68, it is worth it, as for a Flaiming River box, new is better than a rebuilt...before the rack, I had a 15:1 box and a Shelby pitman arm and idler arm...with 245's up frot and 3 degrees of camber, it was a PAIN to turn under 20....

Well, stangerssite.com will rebuild yours for less than half the cost of a FR box, and from what I've seen, he does a really nice job. The FR boxes also get great reviews, but stay the hell away from their R&P, it does NOT WORK. Other R&P setups have gotten good reviews though.
