Do the seat support risers have any functionality besides obviously being the support for the seats? Do they contribute to the stiffness of the unibody? I have to remove mine to get in there and replace the floor pans, so I was thinking, why put them back in? I am going to go with non-stock seats, and having the floor lower will give me more options. Any thoughts?

Yes the seat risers are an integral part of the unibody.

You can cut them down height wise, but you need them in there.

Ok I will weld them back in place after I replace the floorpans the last thing I need is to weaken the unibody.
