Default front turn signal light problem

ok i started putting my 66 mustang back together and the front turn signal light wires were cut and i had an extra harness laying around so i used that and when i went to go see it they worked they didn't but the back lights worked but not the front......i noticed that there is 3 wires that connect to each light and the ground wire (well i think its a ground wire) use to connect to the actual light but since there is no way to connect it to the light i connected it to the housing of the turn light........and still nothing........anyone have any idesa?

Hello. Here's how it's supposed to look.If , for some reason, you are unable to hook up the wires like this, you might have to replace the entire assembly. They aren't very expensive.Hope that helps.
