Angry under-dash Lights wont turn off.

Hello everyone, i have a '65 mustang and i am having under-dash light issues. Just recently i replaced the burnt out under-dash light bulbs and the blown 7.5amp fuse. Everything was working great, when the doors opened, the lights came on, and when the doors shut, the lights shut off. But recently the ligths started to turn on and flicker when i would hit little bumps in the road. And just the other night, the lights came on for no reason shortly after shutting the doors (which the lights turned off initially) and would not shut off. So, in order to save my battery, i took them out, and i checked the switch at the door jamb and there is nothing wrong there, and the fuse is still ok, so any suggestions as to what i should do?

Ok, after an hour of tinkering around, i figured it out. What had happened was that the light knob on the dash was turned to the extreme right where it clicked into place, this kept the interior lights on, in case you wanted to read a map or so on. So, so far this has fixed the problem, but i still dont know why they would be flickering when going over bumps, maybe my door is ofset or something.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a badly corroded cowl which was pooring water on the fusebox when it rained

Hello. That sort of stuff normally indicates a faulty headlight switch.
