Default Mustang was running fine, but now won't start!

I have a '68 Mustang with a 289 in it. I drove it last week and when I tried starting it this week it wouldn't start. It must have something to do with the fuel lines or carb. because I sprayed starter fluid in the carb and it began to start but died after it burned off. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuel filter, fuel pump, or clogged fuel line. Pull the gas line off the carb, stick it in a clean bottle, have someone crank the engine and a pretty good stream of gas should be coming out. If no gas comes out or only a little bit, check the filter, then the pump, and the lines.

If you do have plenty of gas flow to the carb, you've got a carb problem.

Great! Thanks for the starting points! I have a feeling it will be the fuel pump and not the filter.

Well, I did everything you said and it turns out that it was the Carburator. The gas lines were not clogged, plenty of gas came out when I started the car with the gas line off and I could see through the fuel filter. Thanks again for your help.
