Default 66 mustang springs

Hey guys, I have a 66 mustang coupe gutted,Except, 289 motor in car and complete front and rear suspension is also insatlled. My question is this thing is really four wheeling!I have new NPD standard springs front and rear. There is no give in the front when you push on it and it didnt really move when the motor was set in for panel alignment. The rear springs have a really deep curve to them compared to other stock cars I have looked at with good springs.I know theres quite a bit of weight to go back in but this doesnt seem right.Any experiance with this??NPD says they will get to normal height. HELP Thanks Allan

I had the same problem and they did eventually set in place and come to proper ride height. Good luck

You need to give the suspension about 100 miles to settle in. When I replaced the suspension on my 67 it was about 2" higher than it should be until I drove it. Also, make sure you don't tighten the strut rod and sway bar bolts until the tires are on the ground or on ramps the bushings can hold the front end high until the first bump then it will rip the bushings.
