Question Need help with my 68 mustang

Hi I am a new member and new to ford. I have a 68 mustang fastback. I have purchased a 74-78 mustang II front end for my big block install. Has anyone done this conversion? This is not a kit (e.g.Fatman, etc.), but an actual vintage front suspension. Aside from the obvious removal of shock towers, what are the measurements for placing this between the frame rails for install. Do I align with center of old lower control arm mounts ? How far down do I allow the frame to sit between the rails? Before I cut, I want to know this is a sound swap. Please be specific. If there is a website for this specific swap, please let me know. Please, I need all the help I can get. Thank you. Joel

I hear ya on the conversion Im droppin a 390 in my 68 coupe but I dont think you need to do a conversion on the front end since 67-73 were made to fit everything up to a 429 in there so you should be good other than that but I'm not entirely sure
