Default painting suspension parts

i am sandblasting the main suspension parts and i was wondering what should i paint the parts with,

for example, the spindle is clear coat, so what for that???

I beilieve that the spindles are bare metal, correct me if I am wrong

I think you may be right they tend to go rusty
