Default Shorty Headers in 67 coupe

I've heard that using shorty headers on a 289 '67 coupe will interfere with the steering linkage, Is this so and if it is what type of headers will fit without mocifications.

Not true, but you might need a drop bracket for the PS if so equipped

yes, late model headers will hit a classic's steering shaft. The drop bracket is to relocate the power steering ram for long tube headers....

Why shorties?

The Tri-Y Shelby headers fit right in and flow better.
