Default 67 mustang auto to 5speed questions

hey guys for my first post I have some questions about auto to 5 speed swap in my 1967 mustang. The car has a late model 5.0 engine instaled with a c4 auto in it now. I was planing to use a late model 87-93 T-5 tranmission, clutch, flywheel, but I do have questions about the clutch pedals I know the t-5 has a cable clutch so do I need the clutch and break pedals for a 5.0 or source pedals for a 67-68? also do I need to shorten or lengthen my driveshaft? and the spedo cable? Thanks in advance!

Check out Darkhorse Performance, they offer complete conversion kits minus the pedals. So you will have to find a 67/68 pedal assembly and you will most likely need to shorten your driveshaft. Call Blue Ridge Classic Mustang, 540-249-3333, ask for Jimmy. He should have a pedal assembly for ya. Also, welcome to the board.

I'm doing a similar swap. I'm having a hec of a time finding anything but factory pedal assemblies. The 5 speed is shorter then the C4. There are a few different clutch cable assemblies. Modern Driveline and Sacramento Mustang have been the best I have found so far.

I highly recommend Modern Driveline. I just finished a C4 to TKO-600 swap this weekend. They have the cable conversion kit and the clutch pedal specificaly engineered for your application. No custom work necessary, simply follow the instructions.

I did the swap from a c4 to a t5 on my '68. I bought a reproduction clutch pedal, and cut the sides off of my auto brake pedal. I used Mustang Steves clutch cable kit (the best out there in my opinion) and he also sells a roller bearing kit for the clutch pedal. My clutch is very smooth with this set up. just keep that cable away from the headers!

I went with Sacramento Mustang today. All the ones I resurrected were pretty good but what sold me was that Dennis at Sacramento had made this move not long ago and was very knowledgeable about what was needed for the swap.
