where should I place the jack stands for replacing rear shocks

Default where should I place the jack stands for replacing rear shocks
I am replacing the rear shocks on my 65 coupe, where is the best place to put the jack stands on the car to remove rear shocks( rear car frame or under the rear axle itself)

I put the jacks on the sides,underneath the frame so that they weren't in my way.
