Hey Everyone, im ray, im new to this forum.
I own a 65 gt convertable and i just got some but news from the mechanic, it looks like i need to rebuild my engine. Currently the stock 289 doesn't have enough umph. So i am thinking about building to a higher horse power rating, the problem being i need to rebuild the
tranny, and i also need a new rear end to accomidate for the increase in power. I was wondering if anyone knows if i could go to a junk yard and pick up a 9" rear out of a newer model mustang or explorer and if it would fit in and give me the same bolt pattern for my wheels.
