Default 69 6cyl to 8cyl conversion

Hi all... I've been browsing the forums for a couple weeks and though there is tons of info here I need some specefics if possible.
My brother in law's dad has a 69 mustang with a 6cyl and he's gotten his hands on a 351w with C6 transmission. My question is this... I'm sure the 351w will fit but what additional parts will we need.. new engine mounts? a new transmission cross member? Will any of the accessories on the front of the 351 need to be relocated? I appreciate any help you guys can offer.. the swap is about two weeks away and we're trying to get things lined up. Thank you...

Engine mounts, radiator, and engine bay wiring harness. That ought to do it. Maybe a new driveshaft. If its a 4-lug car there's more to it though.

There's a little more to it than that, you will have to swap for V8 coil springs and spindles. Coils are optional, if you want it to sit low in the front, keep the 6, if not, upgrade to the 8.

Just to add something, you will want to go disc brakes on front. It sux when you go to stop with 4 wheel drums after they get hot from stop and go to many times. Don't ask me how I found that one out.

The accelerator linkage and possibly the actual rod the accelarator pedal is attached to may have to be changed. I know they have to be on earlier models 65-68.

The exhaust system may be wrong too, but that's not bad to deal with.

The C6 is a larger transmission so the driveshaft may not work and have to be made shorter or find another.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

I like the set-up my car has, no worries about the rod breaking somewhere leaving me to fix. Cables have been known to snap that look pristine to the eye.

um, the spindles are all the same (except for BOSSes and disc brake cars). The ONLY years that the spindles were different between a V8 and I6 car was the 1965 and 66 model years. As for the coils, he can get away with them in the mean time.

Yep, did some digging, and it should just drop in.The only thing I found was the brake size MIGHT be too small, but more than likely it's OK on those too. Thanks for the correction Twister, and I will only answer the year I know best.
