how to tell if I have a a-code 289 motor

I have a 65 Mustang that is a A-code car for sure, how do I tell if the motor is a A-code motor, it has a 289 motor with 4 barrel in car now

If it's not a 'K' code, then it's an 'A' code.If you're car actually has a 289, and not a 302, and that 289 has a Ford 4bbl intake manifold, that is exactly what Ford used on the 'A' code cars.The only difference between an 'A' code and a 'C' code was the intake and carb.
