Default Header Swap Change Over 68 Coupe

Own a 68 Coupe with 289 with mods to engine car now has Hedman long tube headers with heat wrap. Would like to change over to Patriot ceramic coated shorties is this a good swap to do. Is the swap relatively easy one. Thanks in advance for any ideas on the swap. Previously owne a 70 Mach One Fastback but never did much work on it as it was under warranty when I owned it.

Have you thought about using Tri-Y's they are so easy put on. You can stand back an throw them in.

I've never worked with the Hedman headers, but I know for some long tube headers the drivers side power steering cylinder needs to be unbolted and moved out of the way to get the headers in and out. The passenger side might be ok, unless you run into problems with the fit around the starter. LT's are a pain to move around in the engine bay. That is a huge advantage that the shorty headers have over the long tubes. Good luck on the swap if it is what you decide to do. My experience is with a set of Doug Thorley long tube headers on both my 67 and 68 coupe.
