Default Fuel Pressure Question

Can anyone tell me what the fuel pressure is from a stock mechanical fuel pump on a 66?

Not totally sure on this, I've gotten different replies anywhere from 4 to 7, but a carb doesn't like more than 5 because the fuel is forced around the needle. I have an in-line regulator and guage, and run my Edelbrock 600cfm at 5 and it works good. HTH

I am running a holley 600 and I fear that I am forcing too much fuel into it from the stock pump. It is running very rich and I can't figure it out.

I got my regulator and guage at the Zone, but any good parts house should have them.
