Default 1967 Coupe back seat removal

I have never taken the back seat out of a 67 coupe.
My intent is to remove the back seat, then the side pannels, so
that I can remove the side air-vents just below the rear quater-
window (that fake air intake vents on a 1967 ).
WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO DISSASEMBLE , so that I don't
wind-up breaking something?!?!?
Is there a "preferred" dis-assembly steps?
Are there any hidden "bolts" that I should be aware of ??

I was told that to get the air-vents out, you had to remove the rear
seats ( top or bottom FIRST ??? )
Are these BOLTED in ??

My first time at this , and don't want to BREAK anything removing
the pieces -
Thank you for ANY HELP !!

Back seat bottom:
Push down hard
Push back hard
Pull up hard
Lift out.

First three you do at the same time

Back seat back:
Unbolt from the bottom, the lift up and off the upper hooks

Fiberlass panels:
Unscrew all screws, slide out

Thank you Nick - I will try that soon.
I need to remove & replace the "side-scoops" just below the quater window.

I went to your web site at : http://www.dodgestang.com
You have a VERY NICE FASTBACK posted there -

The coupe side panels are stamped steel. You won't have to worry about breaking anything. The die cast air inlets are fastened with those stamped steel type nuts. One thing that I observed when I pulled mine off is that they were filled (the nuts) with that tar like substance, I guess to keep the nuts from backing off. The previous info you received is correct on the disassembly. Good luck.--- Chuck

while you have that quarter trim off

to remove by the way.
(1 screw by trunk deck)
remove window handle (allen wrench).
remove windlace,
remove door sill trim,
remove 2-3 screws (by knob, and 2 on the floor).

if you have a vinyl top, it is also a good time to be able to take off the trim molding at the base of the vinyl.
it is also a good opportunity to replace the window felt which is located on the inside of the panel. I would also plan on having some lubricant (teflon, white lithium (can get dirty) to lubricate the quarter window mechanism.
it also is a good opportunity to check the front of the wheel wells also for rot, and any patch work needed.

my basic point is, i know your objective is to remove those pieces on the fender, but this 2 hour tear down process would need to be repeated for any of the other needs so you might as well be prepared and spend a few more minutes to clean up everything else (since you are already doing the bulk of the work).

good luck, and you might be surprised what you find behind there ;-)
