[67-Mustang]

I'm having the worst time trying to put the '68 fog lights on my '67 mustang. Does anyone have a close-up picture off the lights and brackets in the grill. I have to be missing something because they either point to the sky or the bumper.

In case anyone is wondering, I didn't want to put the '67 setup on because I didn't want the light bar. Thanks.

I just put 67 fog lights on a 67. No problems, because the light is supported in part by the light bar you don't want. You got me thinking so I went to the catalogs, and sure enough, there's a consierable difference in the grille itself. Also, the brackets are VERY different: the 68 bracket is much more substantial than the 67, since there's no bar to help support the light. I'm not positive, but I think the 67 and 68 grille have the same dimensions (both overall AND mounting). If that's so, you may be able to use a 68 grille and brackets to do the job.

I have been looking at doing the same setup on my 67 for the same reasons. My car has the 68 grill/pony and corrals. There is a difference in the grills between 67 and 68. There is a big difference in the fog light brackets that run behind the grill. I'm not sure if the brackets for 68 will mount to the 67, I haven't brought myself to shell out the money and potentially be out of pocket.
