Default How do I detail 1970 MACH 1 trim?

I have a 1970 MACH 1 that was restored by the previous owner and reall looks good. One thing he did not do was detail the MACH 1 trim that runs below the doors between the wheel wells.

It looks like it has a dark gray, flat, paint (original) on the lower areas and the higher areas are a brushed aluminum.

I would guess that the paint would be applied to the trim and a damp rag with solvent would be used to remove the paint from the high areas.

Has anyone ever detailed this MACH 1 trim? What color paint should I use?

Thank, Bill

Default Regarding the rocker panel moldings

Hello,
The color of the rocker panel molding are a dark argent. This information was from a mustang website that sells the paint by the can. I went to a auto paint store and they can look it up and match the color so you can spray it on in quantity.
Enjoy! Ward
