Default late model alternator, early harness?

I woudl like to use the higher output alternator that was in the 88 donor car that my 302 came out of, but the extra wiring has me baffled. I pulled that section of the harness, and am looking to replace the factory 40A alternator and regulator with the better unit.

Is there a wiring diagram that I can use to hook this thing up?

Thanks,
Doc

I really wouldn't bother hooking up a 2g, the most powerful one they used was 65A and that's not common. I'd go to the junkyard and plunk down the $35 for a 130A 3g and harness from a 90-95 Taurus. Either way this 3g diagram will help, as 3g and 2g alts are wired VERY similarly.

Doc,

I upgraded my 2G that was installed on my Ranger. It is a Powermaster brand and is rated at 100amp. It's complete with a home made harness and Ford electronic regulator. The truck had 10,000 miles on it and the 2G was used when the motor was installed untill my 3G upgrade this past summer. Works fine. LMK if you are interested and I can furnish pics this weekend.
