Question Quiet timing gears vs roller chain. Which is better?

I have to change my timing gears, I have been contemplating a set of quiet gears instead of a roller chain.
Has anyone used the gears? Which do you think is better?
Thanks,
Mike

The quiet timing gears will still make noise compared to the chain but your timing will not change due to chain stretch. The 300 cu. in. inline six uses timing gears from the factory and you can hear a distinctive sound that engine makes but it isn't really an issue. Just remember quiet doesn't mean silent.--------Chuck

I don't care what they call them. There is no such thing as truly "silent" timing gears.

A good tru-roller set will make little noise tillit starts to stretch, and will keep very accurate timing. The only thing quieter is a belt drive (about 1k dollars).
