Not sure what you have, but when I put a Holley 4150 on my '68 Cougar, I ended up using the ball-stud on the carb to connect it to the linkage. I simply cut the rod-end off of an old throttle cable, and used small hose clamps to attach it to the Coug's linkage. It ain't pretty, but it works.
