Well i took of the old fuel line from my 66 and it had grime all over it so i wire wheeled that off so now it looks on the outside just line new!

BUT

i dont really want to konw whats on the inside lol

what would you recomend i do to clean out the inside..

someone recomended some chemical but i forgot...

any ideas would help.

B12 Chemtool from Berryman is a great fuel system cleaner if you just want to add it to your gas and go. If there's significant buildup in there though, you can blow the line out with compressed air (after you take it off the car.)

Why not get a new prebent fuel line,the 3/8in. vs the 5/16in. dia. if you are running a v8. They are available from most Mustang parts vendors. You will never be able to completely clean the old line. There is no telling how much rust is in that old tubing or how thin the tubing is after forty plus years of use. I would think the peace of mind that you're not going to develop a fuel leak or a possible fire would be worth the pretty reasonable price of a new line. All the best,---Chuck
