Default 1966 mustang technical help please

hi there im a new member im just waiting for my 1966 mustang to turn up i live in jersey in the channel islands the car is coming from florida.
The spec is 1966 coupe it has drum brakes all round and it a single circuit system it now has a 1986 roller motor 302ci and a t5 transmission the engine has flat top pistons and a mild cam.
What i would like some help with is that i want to make it stop better and handle better and go better and steer better i dont mind spending the money but i only want to do the job once because the postage costs are going to hurt big time

First off, I know how excited you must be awaiting the arrival of your Mustang. Take your time and do some evaluating of the actual condition of your vehicle. In other words go over it with a fine tooth comb. You want to make sure the structural integrity is good and safety related components are addressed as a priority. Go to some Mustang related magazine web sites such as, Ford Mustangs From the Vintage 1964 1/2 Mustang to the 2006 Mustang - Mustang Monthly Magazine, Ford Mustangs, Mustang Cobra, Mustang GT, Shelby Mustangs, Mustang Parts - Mustang & Fords Magazine and look at articles and click on to sponsoring vendors that relate to modifications you would like to do. Read up and get familiar with what is being done to Mustangs like yours.

I know not being in the States is a problem, but through the internet you can contact most vendors. The more info that you are able to acquire the better your ability to set up a plan for your projects. Of course we are happy that you have joined us on this forum and invite your questions. Good luck,----Chuck
