Default 1966 Mustang Coupe How Do You Remove The Parking Brake Handle?

hello. I am a new member with a 1966 coupe that I have been restoring for the past two years. I am completely finished the interior and noticed the parking brake handle was quite worn and ratty looking. I just got a new handle from "scott drake" but cannot figure out how to remove the old one. there is no set screw but what looks like a pin (that doesn't move) or a key way. has anyone dealt with this problem before? thank you in advance. Cal

hi again. with a little persistance and a clamp from a flaring tool. I was able to drive the pin into the handle and the shaft. the new handle comes with both a replacement pin and a set screw, which ever you choose to use. chow

Unless as said before that you drive the pin into the plastic handle, you can drill a small hole opposite of the pin into the plastic to give you a way to drive the pin through.----Chuck
