Default Is a stroked 460 to much for a 69 or 70

Hi guys I am new to this site and glad I found you.I am currently starting a build on a 69' 429 motor. The plans were to stroke it to 521 C.I with 10.0-1 compression, Ported and polished Dove-c heads .600 lift cam etc. It should produce somewhere in the 550 h.p 600 ft Tq. I was originally going to buy a 66-67 Fairlane to put this into but I don't want that big of a car. I really want to dump this into a 69 or 70 mustang. I need it to be totally streetable and this will be a cruiser for me and my son. I want the motor to be radical (for the street) but am I building to much for the car. I still can keep it at 429 ci. Any thoughts. I am at the point on figuring the cam and I need to get valve springs in the next couple of days. I like the thought of a stroker but maybe I don't need it with a Mustang.

Not if the car is prepared correctly just be ready to spend a lot of hard earned cash to get it ready...Good Luck.

Ya, a lot of hard earned cash is what I don't have. I wanted to be able put the motor in and cruise it and make it a long project. What kind of mods would I have to do if I build it without the stroker motor?

429 should fit without surgery if you want to stroke it you will want to stiffen up the body & improve brakes etc all is doable with time & $ if you have the skills the more time the less dollars
