Default Motor Mounts 1968 coupe

Hey...Im restoring my 68 coupe to factory specs. Is the color of the motor mounts the same as the engine (dark blue) or are they painted black.
TIA
Rick

This is an interesting question. I've looked through several different resto and assembly manuals and I can't find a definite answer. My suspicion is that they were installed, both upper and lower sections after the eng. blocks were painted. I now find another dilemma. Are they painted semi gloss black (chassis black) or are they unpainted with a black rubber insert? I'm sure that someone will come up with an answer. Good luck,---Chuck
