Default 1967 Mustang 289 motor-compartment-colors

Hello All -
I have a 1967 Mustang , with a 289-2bbl. carb.
The exterrior is Frost Tourquoise. I am trying to find out how to
"properly" paint the motor, motor accesories ( altenator & bracket ),
Power Steering ( & bracket ) , waterpump , intake manifold ,
motor compartment , etc...
I think the inside fender liners in the engine compartment are to be
Semi-gloss Black. I seem to have read somewhere the MAJOR part
of the motor is FORD - CORPORATE - Blue ( dark-Blue )
Is there a place where I might purchase photos of a "correctly"
painted 289ci - 2bbl and the accessories I have mentioned.
My car is not a show-goer , but I would at least like to get
the paint "close" to correct.
I need to purchase some photos as my color printer is not "calibrated"
to match what I see on my monitor. ANY IDEAS where I can
get the CORRECT COLOR SCHEME for the motor & compartment??
Many Thanks - Joe Z. in CT

There is a book I purchased from NPD titled "How to Restore Your Mustang" Mustang Publications Inc. Lakeland Fla. That has the details for which you are looking.

According to the book, 67 Mustangs had semi gloss black engine compartments.

All exterior engine parts and components were Ford dark blue except:

Black: Fan, fan pulley, starter, crank shaft pulley

Unpainted natural finsihes: Master Cyl.,fuel pump, clutch linkage, fan spacer, brake junction block, proportioning valve, accelerator & linkage, windshield washer pump, carb spacer, oil pressure sender, alternator and bracket, PS pump bracket, AC brackets and lines, fender bolts except inner bolts in engine compartment, hood bolts, hinge bolts, air cleaner wing nut, most other bolts.

Hope this helps.

www.stangerssite.com has great info on PS detailing. The motor was painted assembled so it's all Dark Ford Blue, which is available from your parts store in a spray can. All the accessories and most brackets were painted or treated separately. The pullies and brackets should be the same semi-gloss as the engine bay. The alternator spacer is gold anodized aluminum, and the alternator itself is bare alum.

Hello. The inner fender area should be semi-gloss black, the block, intake, heads, valve covers and breather should be corporate blue, the attaching brackets for the accessories should be gloss black. Here's a picture that might help. This is a 67 Shelby GT-350, so the breather, intake and valve covers are different, but everything else is the same in appearance.Hope that helps.

That just looks too glossy to me. Maybe it is just clean and mine is dirty.
