Default Mirror, Mirror, on the door 1967 Mustang remote mirror convex lens

Hello fellow enthusiasts -
I have a 1967 Mustang Coupe , with a driver-side remote mirror.
I am trying to find, IF AVAILABLE, a matching RIGHT – SIDE
Mirror = WITH A CONCAVE ( Wide-Angle ) glass (or plastic).

If you know of any replacement glass that will fit the
“remote-Matching-Right-Side” mirror , it would sure help to
make backing-up a Whole Lot Easier!!

Thanks again for ANY help in getting a wide-angle-view
replacement glass that will fit the matching-remote (nonremote)
mirror !!

National Parts Depot, 1 (800) 368-6451, has what you want, it's part number is 17696-4DC, $49.95. Description: 67-68 Best repro with convex mirror for better visibility. This is the right side mirror.

I've done business with these people for years. Very professional bunch of people. All the best,---Chuck

I was just looking at the NPD catalog that came the other day and they don't offer the convex mirror for the passenger side in the dummy remote. They only offer it for the standard mirror.

You could try taking the mirror to a glass shop and see if they can help or this might be a waste of money but you could try buying the convex driver side and removing the glass and reinstalling it in the pass side.

My 68 has the standard mirrors and they are interchangable between sides including the glass. I know the remote bodies can't be changed from side to side but I don't know if the glass shape is the same.

Hold on before you order that!

I just replied to your other thread before seeing this one. The 17696-4DC part # from NPD is the standard mirror NOT the dummy remote for the pass side. As far as I know the glass shape is different between the standard and remote mirrors.

I thought of something else, try calling NPD and ask, I find them to be one of the parts dealers that are good to talk to. I know they don't offer one but if they find out there is enough demand they may let thier supplier know. If the supplier deems there to be enough demand they may start producing one. Who knows, there may be others besides you looking for this mirror. They offer one in the standard mirror so the other mirror may not be far behind.
