Default 1968 4 wheel power disc brake master cylinder.

I was wondering if any one has done a 4 wheel power disc brake conversion on a 1968? If so what master cylinder did you use. I have a bendix booster and only about 7 1/2 inchecs of space between it and the shock tower. The master cylinder I have is to long. Thanks Steve.

If it's the same MC I have, you can safely trim the big protrusion on the front with an angle grinder, and it will JUST clear. An SVO MC which is the most common for this is 8.125" long, and if you've got a 7" booster, you're screwed unless you trim it.

I managed to find a shorter, smaller diameter booster that is a drop in fit, but I haven't been able to pick one up to experiment on. (SVO MC on a chevy booster ) I'm not paying $100 for something at autozone to find out I can't make it do what I want it to do.

5.0, thanks for the info. The master cylinder was free so I have no problems taking the grinder to it. zig
