Question 1965 Coupe Rear Leaf Spring Removal

Hello All.
I am currently in process of stripping down my '65 I6 Coupe, and have hit a snag. I am having the hardest time getting the leaf springs out. I was able to get the rear mounts off by cutting the shackles with a sawzall, but the fronts are another story. I was able to get the nuts off of the bolts, but the bolts are galled into frame pretty badly. I was able to get them turning by using a propane torch to unbind the bushing, but the bolt still will not come out. Any ideas on how to get the suckers out? Or any experiences? All are welcome, Thanks!

The bolts have rusted to the sleeve. I had to take a sawzall and cut the bolts. You can try getting some penetrating oil to it and see if that works. I have heard of people using a torch to cut them out also. Basically you will probably have to cut the bolt.

I had to cut the bolts on my '65 f/b on both sides of the mounts. They do not come off easily.

I had to use a small air powered saw. It took a while, but I didn't want to use a torch. ---Chuck
