Could be a couple of things, but mainly it probably refers to a cam made for a certain race class like A/Stock, where the cam is supposed to be "stock". I've used it to mean a cam that doesn't sound so huge that we get kicked out out of the stock pulling class (580hp+ 460 in a 79 F250, sure it's stock
Still haven't figured out if I can slide a small tunnel ram on it without getting caught, cuz there's some serious HP in that, something like 620hp on a street motor
