Did the 1966 Mustang 2+2 Fastback come with a factory installed bench seat?

My husband and I have a 1966 mustang 2 + 2 fastback that has pony interior with a bench seat. We can't get any answers from Ford or anyone as to whether this car came with bench seats. If anyone knows what I can do to find out, please please let me know. Thanks!

I know some 64-66 models did come with a bench seat, you should be able to decode the build plate to find out. I know Year One has a lot of decoding help on most older 60's cars, maybe they can help you. Worth a try but find it hard to fathom that Ford can't tell you what info you want to know. I just wonder about the 2+2... that's kind of the key. If it's a real 2+2, why would it have a bench seat? A 2+2 is 2 bucket seats in the front, 2 in the back so why would it have a bench is my question.

Hello and welcome. If the car stll has it's original door tag, the body style would be 63C for a bench seat fastback. Hope that helps, and again, welcome.
