Default 1967 mustang door panel removal and window fix

My driver's side power window began to slow down a month ago and now is almost come to a stop. In order to close the window I have to pull it up by the top window frame.

I want to take off the door panel, see what the problem is, and fix it. I need to know how to take off the panel. I've read about the clips that have to be dealt with, but I need to know about the power window unit, the rectangular four-switch unit at the front of the door. There doesn't seem to be anything to loosen. I'm wondering if that unit is attached to the panel itself.

Any and all help would be appreciated. I don't want to screw up the panel.

Power windows were never an option in 1967, someone added them later on.

Since the car was never offered with them it's anybody's guess as to how they installed them and how "neatly and correctly" it was done. I would try removing the panel first and then looking behind it before pulling it away from the door to see what they did.

Once you get the panel off try lubing all the slides and everything up first before replacing the motor. A lot of times dried up grease will slow down any window, power or manual crank.

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Jay H237 is right there were no elect windows. Unless this guy got crazy the panls and door should be the same... pull the center panel out and take a look. Unscrew the door handle (arm rests) and door pop prior to the panel. You may get away with cleaning it or have a regulator problem.

Default Regulator

Is the regulator include the motor or is it just the gear? My mechanic said he couldn't find a regulator for this car.

Again, your problem will be that power windows weren't an option, so there's no telling what you have in there. If the conversion to power windows used the ORIGINAL regulator, then they are available at any Mustang catalog house, but be careful of which reproduction part you get ----some just don't work. When I changed my regulator I had to return one to the parts house for that reason. The one I got that fit was a Scott Drake part, fwiw.
If they're part of the power window conversion kit that was installed they could be anything.
Good Luck.
