How much do you want to spend? If you want to go aftermarket look at CHI and AFD. If you're looking for stock get the 4V closed chamber heads.

I think Edelbrock has Cleveland heads now also. As said before, the 4 barrel Cleveland heads have huge ports and closed chambers. This may be the most economical way, if you don't mind the weight of cast iron. Are you going to race the car? I don't think huge ports are going to make any power unless you are going to really spin some RPMs.

You are better off going with either the CHI or AFD heads,or even the stock heads over the Edelbrock heads. For the cost the Edelbrock heads don't perform anywhere near the CHI or AFD heads. Another option is the 2V Australian closed chamber heads. You can find those on ebay just about every day.

No doubt you'll want the 4 barrel style based on what you said. I'd stay away from the open- chamber design as I found them easy to detonate with compression. I like the 2 barrel Aussie heads. Put 'em on my 72 Ranchero and jeez what a difference. Sure woke that old mill up.

Yeah stay away from those open chambered heads, they take alot of dome tog et a good compression too which also aggrivates compression.

I think 4V heads are what youre looking for as well.

i am leaning toward the aussie 2v heads. they sound like they could give the best of both worlds. any users out there? what kind of hp, torque, and throttle response are you seeing?

You don't need Boss 351 heads, they flow the same as the the CC 4V heads.
The only difference between the Boss 351 heads and CC 351C4V heads is that the Boss heads rocker pedestals are machined to accept adjustable rockers arms. If you just have to have the adjustable rockers there are kits nowadays that allow you to bolt them on to non-machined heads.
