So I would like to have my parking lights come on WITH my headlights when turned on. I'm looking at schematics and I think I see a way but I'm not sure.
Current Factory situation: parking lights on in light switch first position, Headlights and marker lights off... Parking lights off in light switch 2nd position but retain signal lights only with headlights on and marker lights on.
Goal: (A) to have first position of headlight switch turn on signal lights and marker lights.. (B) to have signal lights and marker lights stay one while headlights turned on in 2nd position.
Do I need to use a 12V/2amp diode in order to create my crossed over connections and not feed current back to the switch unnecessarily? Or does that even matter? It looks as if I just need to connect a splice connection sharing the 'hot' wire from each position of the light switch.
looking forward to comments or diagrams..
Please no suggestions that will cause me to burn my car down...
