Default 2005-2009 Shelby KR Ram Air Hoods On Sale - This Month Only!

We would like to inform everyone that our sale ends on our GT500 Style KR Ram Air Hoods on the 30th of this month. These Mustang Hoods are on sale right now for only $289 Bucks!

Just over one week left on the Shelby GT500 Style Hoods before we go back to standard pricing!

Here are some photos and even very new photos that have been posted on another forum in which our customer recently bolted it on and is waiting to get it painted. I have been asked about the overall quality of these Shelby Style hoods and I must say that it is very good. In fact, if you look at these new photos of the hood unpainted you will see how sleek the Black Gel-Coat is on our fiberglass hoods.

This essentially means that the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 Shelby GT500 Style Hoods are fairly easy to paint due to the quality of the gel-coat. Once you guys have photos please keep sending in your ride after the install. We love to see those transformations. Thanks again for everyones support.

Regards
Mike

Hi,

I have a few questions I couldn't find answers to on your site.

1) Does this hood have a reinforced latch area?

2) Is the air being directed to CAI/Airbox area?

3) Are hoodpins required?

4) Is there a water drainage system in the hood?

The hood is quite nice and the price is very reasonable.

Thank You,

Marc

If i didn't already purchase a Roush hood scoop, pay to have it installed, and just spend a good deal of money on my CAI + tune mods. I would totally consider buying this. It almost seems too good to be true. Sorry i can't buy it though

Default Shelby GT500 KR Style Hood Prep Time

Normally most shops will charge 2-4 hours labor for the entire job. Thats not bad considering most of you would spend more on materials and time than it would be worth. Its not a hard job to do yourself regarding the prep work, but I would rather have my Shelby GT500 Style Ram Air Hood painted in a well ventilated booth so that particles don't get into the paint.

The hood shown is obviously unpainted without any prep work to the actual hood itself. The products fit has been great and can clearly be seen also. The hood has a sleek shiny gel-coat finish not only on the top side but the bottom as well. It also will channel the air closer to the intake.

Its a great buy and if anyone has any questions for me don't hesitate to hit me up. Thanks.

Well, its worth allot. We appreciate everyone business. We know that its important to supply our customers with high quality products that fit well and don't require 20 hours of prep time because the finish is so bad or doesn't fit.

We are happy to sponsor this forum and hopefully answer many of your questions and help out in any way possible. Its also beneficial to everyone here because we can make you guys aware of sales that are going on, that you might otherwise ever be aware of. Not unless your already searching for a like product and in that case you would probably run across us anyway.

We have had several of the 2005-2008 Shelby GT500 KR Ram Air Hoods purchased so far this month and this sale has grabbed allot of attention in other forums as well, so we are glad everyone has had an opportunity to save some money before the price goes up. Its a bummer we cannot stay at this price forever!

Has anyone received this hood yet?

I just called and just wanted to make a post here to maybe cut down on some confusion.

The free shipping is only if you are buying a body kit. Ordering just the hood does not qualify for free shipping.

Alot of hoods like this have channels under the hood that direct the air over by the air box and then there are some small holes on the underside along the front for water to drain through.

The way it was explained to me just now this hood does not have that, the front two scoops are straight through and do not have a channel leading over to the airbox/cai.

I was just wondering if anyone has received this yet and can verify that and if anyone has any thoughts on water issues if the scoops are just going straight into the engine bay?
