There's a place for everything, the track is for racing, not local streets.

yes i agree with a lot of yall but if the people died due to the racers i believe the racers should get a ticket straight to the chair i live in a small town where there is street racing in the middle of no where (bfe) just last weekend the 26 of oct. they closed the best track we have access to due to new people moving close to it and then complaining bout the noise (go figure) people dont want street racing but why are they also complaining bout the noise this track always stopped the loud cars, bikes, and trucks at eleven o clock so the only ones that were racing were the ones that had mufflers

I like all they people saying 'give em the chair' and act like they have NEVER done this before, an unfortunate and sad situation but im sure these people got up in the morning and planned to kill someone....whats next hang someone responsible for a hunting accident? Drunk drivers kill 1000% more people that street racers, tobacco kills 10000% people thru cancer than street racers, more people died on the streets of Chicago than we lost soldiers in the streets of Iraq last year. (good job obama and your educator bill ayers)

+1 The actual figures according to the NHTSA for 2007 were 37,248 fatal wrecks for automobiles and 41,059 fatalities as a result of those wrecks. Of that amount less than 31% were either completely or partially caused by excessive speed of all types ie: street racing, running from the police, pure speed, DWI and DUI, etc. Since street racers were grouped in with all the other speed related accidents, it
stands to reason that they alone caused much less than 30%. Now street racing is illegal and dangerous but if we believe the statistics it is much safer than driving among all the average drivers. If you people want to rag on someone why not start where the danger is highest, with Joe and Jane Average drivers.

The people that say they never punched it at a stop light, or hammered on it to get ahead of someone to make the exit or S@#t like that. Racing comes in different forms. I to don't like to hear that people got killed. I'd like to meet the person thats never engaged in a speed contest, or done an exhibition of power, or some sort of speeding, road rage. it's easy to talk down to a group of people without looking at what you've done in your past or more likely the last time you drove.

ok. Every one of u who says hang em is a hippocrit. Yes it is very stupid to street race and I think it is very disrespectful to other motorists whose life they are putting at risk. But by what most of u are saying is that everyone that does 10 over the speed limit or gets a little excited at a red light needs to fry. Breaking the law is breaking the law however you want to look at it. What happend is very unfortunate and I always hate to hear about things like that. But when you stop and think about it these might have been a couple of really good people who is going to have to deal with what they done for the rest of their lives. If only our govverment paid a little more attention to out lifestyles maby a bunch of this could be prevented. They are spending billions to bail out all of these cooperations, and what would be so hard about laying down a strip of asphault here and there just to keep that stuff off the streets??
