Hurst makes a good unit, you should be able to get it at Summit or Jegs. And it isn't hard to do either, you just take your time and you'll be fine.

Could anyone explain exactly how a line lock system works?

when you press down on the brake pedal you hit the line lock button the solenoid that you have installed in the line closes holding the pressure on the front brakes when you let off the pedal letting the rear tires spin without the brakes dragging. i bought a kit from jegs that came with an indicator light so you can see when it is activated. you should probably invest in a flaring block because i have an 89 gt mustang and when i tried to install it i could not find fittings that would fit. it will save a lot of time trying to find stuff that doesnt exist just re-use the fittings on your master cylinder and distribution block. it might take the better part of the day depending on how long it takes to bleed the brakes.

i think the jegs brand is probably a hurst or somebody like that. they wouldnt tell you but somebody is making them and jegs is just putting them in their box with their sticker on it. i havent had any problems with mine and it has about 100 passes on it.
