Default narrowing my rear?

1986 convertable 347-stroker 600 TKO, centerforce dual friction clutch
long tubes- into dyno-max off roads. 6-pt roll bar, upper & lower control arms, 410 auburn gears.
(1)- i want to narrow the rear by about 1-1/2"- 2" (tires now are 275/60-15's they hit and were chopped up, so i had to roll the wells)
(2)- YES or NO to mini-tubes
(3)- the car launches straight and hits hard with KYB shocks (dropped the quad set) but need a little more tire grip- anyone know about strange extreme adjustables thanks.

If you narrow the rear, make sure it's straight. That sounds dumb to say but I've seen some hack jobs done and then they wonder why they can't go straight. I say yes to the mini tubs, since this sounds like a drag car. You can also use them on a street car with no problem, I say go for it. I know about those Strange struts and shocks, they're some great pieces. Externally adjustable and you can tailor them to the track conditions, even from side to side. They're well worth it and they're on my to do list.

I love the tubbed look. If you have your rear end cut make sure that some one does it who knows what they are doing. Once you cut there is not going back. Good luck.
